INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!
Happy 4th of July!
I was asked today what does freedom mean to me?
Freedom is controlling all of you W’s ~ What / Where / When / Who we spend our time (with).
I first enlisted in the US Navy on July 5th soon after high school. That last summer at home my family and I went to the fireworks display at Fort Vancouver. Vancouver Washington is smaller (in size and population) than Portland Oregon, but the fireworks display at Fort Vancouver has long boasted to be the Largest in the Region. It was a perfect Northwest July night, clear amazing fireworks surrounded by family.

After two active duty enlistments totalling 8 years, I’ve never lost the entreprenuers bug. In fact it’s only gotten stronger. We celebrate freedom today, and here in America we built this country on the spirit of independence. True freedom doesn’t come from the government, nor the “safety” of a J.O.B. A job is Just Over Broke in other words a self imposed prison. True freedom is when we take full responsibility for ourselves and our lives. It’s only when we own our own lives that we can freely live our light that’s inside of us. Let’s celebrate independence everyday by being responsible for living our own light to the fullest!
